FAQ

Quick answers.

The questions we field most often from Northern Kentucky homeowners. If yours isn’t here, call us, we’d rather answer in person.

Quotes + assessments

How do you quote a replacement?
We come out for an in-home assessment, walk the system, take measurements, and send you a written quote that itemizes equipment, labor, permits, and any ductwork we recommend. We don't quote over the phone, because we can't size a system responsibly without seeing the house.
What happens during the assessment?
We'll look at your current setup, take measurements, ask about the comfort issues you're noticing, and talk through your options. Then we follow up with a written quote. No deposit, no obligation, no hard sell at the kitchen table.
Do you design systems for new construction?
Yes, that's a big part of what we do. We work with homeowners and builders to design whole-home comfort into a custom home from day one: right-sized equipment, clean indoor air, and smart controls planned before the walls close up.

Emergency + scheduling

How fast can you get here for an emergency?
We do our best to respond quickly, often the same day when a truck's free. We won't promise a specific window we can't keep, but we'll give you a real ETA when you call.
Do you work weekends?
Saturday by appointment for non-urgent work. For urgent situations (no heat in winter, no AC in a heat event), give us a call and we'll do what we can. We'll never promise a window we can't keep, but we move fast when we can.
What counts as an emergency?
No heat in temperatures under 50°F, no AC in a heat event above 85°F, a CO alarm, a visible gas leak, or water coming out of the furnace. For anything life-safety (gas smell, CO alarm), For actual emergencies (gas smell, carbon monoxide alarm), leave the home and call 911 first.

Equipment + brands

Why do you mainly install Tempstar?
We're a Tempstar Elite Dealer. It's reliable equipment with solid parts availability and a strong parts warranty when registered, and it's where the balance of quality and value works best for our customers. If you'd prefer another major brand, just ask.
Do you service brands you didn't install?
Absolutely. We service all major residential brands. The only limitation is manufacturer warranty: if a unit is under warranty with a different dealer, we can still do the repair, but parts coverage needs to go through the original installer.
Is a heat pump really a good choice in Northern Kentucky?
For the right house, yes. See our heat pump replacement page for the detailed breakdown, including the 25C federal tax credit and dual-fuel pairing.

Warranties + air quality

What warranty do I get?
Tempstar backs most of its equipment with a strong parts warranty when it’s registered shortly after install, which we handle for you. We stand behind our own workmanship too. See our warranties page for the full breakdown.
Can you help with indoor air quality?
Yes. We install whole-home humidifiers, ionizers, UV lights, and air purifiers that work with your system to keep the air in your home cleaner and more comfortable. We'll talk through what actually makes a difference for your house, not just sell you a box.
Do you install smart thermostats?
We do. A smart thermostat matched to your equipment is one of the easiest comfort and efficiency upgrades there is. We'll make sure it's wired and configured to work properly with your system, not just stuck on the wall.

Financing

Can I finance a replacement?
Yes. We work with Wells Fargo and FTL Finance, including 0% options for qualified buyers. There’s no application to fill out on the site, just give us a call and we’ll walk you through how it works. See the financing page for an overview.
How do I get started with financing?
Give us a call. We'll talk through the options, point you to the right lender, and answer any questions before you commit to anything. Financing is handled by our lending partners, kept separate from the service relationship.
