How long does a full HVAC replacement take?

Single-system (furnace or AC) is usually one long day. Matched furnace + AC is 1–1.5 days. Heat pump conversions that involve electrical upgrades can stretch to two days. We always give you a time window before the job starts.

Do I have to replace everything at once?

No. If your AC is 18 years old and your furnace is 8, you replace the AC. We'll size the new AC to match your existing blower and tell you exactly what to expect when the furnace's time comes.

Can I finance my replacement?

We size to the house rather than defaulting to whatever tonnage was there before, which saves you years of uneven temperatures and higher-than-necessary bills.

What a replacement day looks like

Typical single-system replacement takes us one long day with a two-person crew. We arrive at 7:30, lay floor protection from the driveway to the mechanical room, shut down and disconnect the old equipment, and haul it out. The new equipment goes in, gets wired, piped, and vented. We verify start-up performance on gas (combustion check when needed) and on refrigerant (superheat/subcooling), run the system through heat + cool modes, and don’t leave until the thermostat is reading set point.

Warranty + what happens after

Tempstar offers a 10-year parts warranty on most equipment when you register within 90 days, and we handle the registration for you so it doesn’t get missed. We back our installs with a labor warranty and stand behind the work after the truck pulls away.
